The MD360 model has a pulling capacity of up to 50Kg which can be increased to 90Kg when using a double motor system on Straight tracks for electric curtains. The MD950 model can cope with even more. This covers most domestic and commercial applications.
A normal hook will work seamlessly well with the track gliders. Please note that we do not supply hooks with the tracks.
We supply adjustable wall fix brackets to cope with walls or bay windows that may or may not be truly square or a swivel bracket that is fixed to the ceiling. We calculate the number of brackets required and supply as part of the system. Additional brackets can be supplied if required. The installation manual gives detailed information with images on how to do this.
All of the Raex Range of drapery motors are designed to cope with exactly this kind of a problem. If you have a power cut the motor gearbox mechanism is disengaged and the curtains can be operated freely by gently pulling them in the usual way into the open or closed position. When the power is re-applied you just need to open and close them once to re-datum the system.
We have supplied shapes of all kinds to our customers over the years from continuous curves to seven sided bays. All bends are made in our facility here in the Midlands. We will require certain measurements which we give guidance on and then send you a drawing of what we are about to make before the electric profile goes into production so you can review before anything is made.
The electric motor hangs down vertically at the end of the rail and is included as part of the profile length. The motor is hidden from view by the curtain wrapping around the motor and hooked into place.
If you lose the transmitter you can still operate our remote control system. All models have a built in touch control function which means you can tug the curtains to either open or close them and the intelligent motor kicks in and starts to move automatically. We would recommend that you replace the remote control at some point in the future though. We have videos showing you how to pair up a new remote in the Video section of this site.
Spare parts can be supplied if required, through the life of the system.
Every project has a budget and a specific reason for buying a motorised system. There are entry level systems with remote control and battery power, if you want to remove the cost of having electric cable run to the window. There are also more sophisticated models that connect to smart home systems or directly to a phone App. But either way we have something for every project.
